Sunday we had a great time at Sara Jane and David's Wedding.
We were going to take some photos in central park, but the weather was not cooperating with us, so we decided to stay close to the Synagogue where the wedding was taking pace. Lucky for us, the street right in front of the Synagogue was closed off for traffic, so we ran out for a few minutes and got some nice photos of the two of them and the family. Then we went into the vestibule were there was some beautiful light coming in and got some more fun shots...

Stay tuned for a slideshow of Sara Jane and David's wedding...

I love the rain!

Ever since I was a kid I loved listening to the sound of rain falling on the streets. It brings me to a different perception of life. In a way more in tune with our world.
Last night after having had a good time with new friends and inspired by a great photographer I hung out in Times Square getting some of the mood of the place in the rain.

I think it shows how rain makes us so vulnerable sometimes. And in a place like Times Square, which is usually flooded with people, changes the normal flow.

I like this image that I took while the rain was hitting strong.
After having very inspiring day at the Double Tree hotel in Times Square with an incredible photographer and speaker Marcus Bell, I went out to have some food with a few new photographer frinds Jason Groupp, Luke Walker, Frank Dimeo and Robert Kaussner.

We finished eating and the rain hit us in the middle of Times Square so we had to wait a few minutes before going about our business.

With Marcu's inspiration on Master printing techniques here is my impression of yesterday afternoon with the guys.

After the strong storm that fell on New York City on Thursday night I thought that we would have a very wet day on Friday for Chai and Brian's wedding, but the weather gods were on our side and it turned out to be a magnificent day.
I met Chai and Brian at Tavern on the Green around 5:00pm and we went for a walk in Central Park. We spend about an hour taking photos in various locations. Well, what a easy going couple!!

I love this photo that we took almost at the end of the session:

Stay tunned for some more photos or the wedding...

Also happening this week is I am shooting Chai and Brian’s wedding in central park on Friday.

The wedding will take place at “Tavern on the Green”. This is a great restaurant on the west side of the park (West 67th street). It has a great outdoor space for cocktail and dancing. (I go salsa dancing in the summer time there).

Tavern on the Green was originally built as a sheepfold. It housed 200 South Down sheep.!! There some good information about the history of the place on their website.

I love the park and always know that I will get some good work. We will do some photos around the restaurant, but we will probably also go down to the Bethesda Fountain where there are some great stairs and painted walls.

Many things happening this week.

I am moving to my new studio in the heart of Park Slope!! It is a street level studio on 6th avenue and Union Street.

I need to do a bit of work to fix up the place the way I like it, but it is very exiting to move into a new space. It is a small, but cozy place for photographing portraits.

I will probably upload some photos of the place once I have it ready…. It will take me a little bit of time, so bare with me.
